About the Project
For pet owners navigating busy urban lifestyles, managing their pet’s health can be overwhelming. Keeping track of vaccinations, remembering medication schedules, finding the right veterinarian, and knowing when something is wrong requires tools that most pet owners simply do not have. Vet Pet Pal was created to solve this problem — a single mobile platform where pet owners and veterinarians collaborate to keep pets healthy. DigiOxide designed and built Vet Pet Pal as an intuitive mobile application that puts every pet care essential in one place: health profiles, medication tracking, daily tips, appointment scheduling, and direct communication with assigned veterinarians.
The Challenge
Pet owners had no centralized tool to manage their pet’s health information. Vaccination records were scattered across paper files and clinic databases. Medication schedules relied on memory. Communicating with veterinarians outside of clinic visits was difficult. And finding reliable, daily pet care guidance required sifting through unreliable internet sources. The app needed to be simple enough for non-technical pet owners to use daily while providing enough clinical utility for veterinarians to engage meaningfully with the platform.
Our Solution
DigiOxide built Vet Pet Pal as a dual-interface mobile application — one experience for pet owners and another for veterinary professionals. Pet owners create detailed profiles for each of their pets, track medications and vaccination history, receive daily health tips, set reminders for medications and appointments, and communicate with their assigned veterinarian. Veterinarians can manage their patient roster, send notifications about health updates, and access pet health histories during consultations.
